The government can garnish up to 15% of your disposable income. You are exempt for 30 times the minimum wage. ($7.25 * 30).
Stop student loan wage garnishment
The fastest way to stop student loan wage garnishment is to pay your debt in full. If this is not an option for you, consider negotiating with your creditor to reduce the amount owed and/or negotiate a payment schedule.
